In her real life there was no Frank that kept Whitney Houston alive. In her real life there were drugs and alcohol excesses. The following quote from the movie could be out of her life:

Undoubtedly, Whitney Houston was the best female vocalist of her generation. No one could even compete with her vocal range, her vocal mastery. She was top in the 1980s, but lost the spotlight in recent years with tumultous marriage to Bobby Brown and serious drug problems. Last night Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room in Los Angeles.
„This is the night.“, said Frank in the movie „The Bodyguard”. Unfortunately it was her last night.
